Tuscania is a town in the province of Viterbo in the Lazio region of Italy. Until the late 19th century, the town was known as Toscanella. According to legend, Tuscania was founded by Aeneas' son Ascanius where he found twelve puppies of dogs (from where the Etruscan name Tus - Cana - comes, cana being similar to the Latin canis for "dog"). The main attraction of this town is the church of San Pietro, built in the Lombard-Romanesque style, begun in 739 and renovated in the 11th-12th centuries. The interior has a nave and two aisles divided by low columns and pilasters incorporating half columns with antique and medieval capitals. The facade with a rosette window also dates from the 12th century.
Upon arrival, check-in and check-in to the ship. In the afternoon a familiarization tour of the boat, accommodation and safety drill before departure. Definitely don't miss the first departure from the port. Also, don't miss the first served dinner to enjoy the great Italian cuisine. We will visit the ship's theatre and finish the evening with a drink at the bar.
Civitavecchia, located on the western coast of Italy along the Tyrrhenian Sea, is a historic port city that has served as a vital gateway to Rome for centuries. Its name, meaning “ancient town” in Italian, reflects its origins, which date back to Etruscan times. However, it was during the Roman Empire that Civitavecchia gained prominence, when Emperor Trajan ordered the construction of the port in the early 2nd century CE to relieve congestion from Rome's main port at Ostia. The harbor, known as Centumcellae in ancient times, became an important hub for trade and naval operations. Remnants of this period, such as the Trajan's Arch and sections of the original Roman harbor, still exist today, showcasing the city’s deep historical roots.
Throughout the Middle Ages, Civitavecchia's strategic importance made it a contested site among various powers, including the Papal States, which controlled the city for much of its later history. It became heavily fortified, with landmarks such as the Forte Michelangelo, a formidable 16th-century fortress commissioned by Pope Julius II and partially designed by Michelangelo himself. In modern times, Civitavecchia remains a key port, serving as the main maritime link between Rome and the Mediterranean. It is also a popular departure point for cruises and ferries, connecting Italy to various islands and neighboring countries. With its rich history and ongoing role as a bustling port city, Civitavecchia continues to blend its ancient heritage with its modern significance.
In Greek mythology, Mykonos was the scene of battles between Zeus and the Giants, and the island itself was named after Apollo's grandson Mykonos. Today, Mykonos is one of the most popular Greek islands. It is famous for the many well-preserved windmills that can be found all over the island. The church of Panagias Paraportiani is also worth mentioning. There are also a number of good beaches on the island, especially on its southern coast.
However, the island's nightlife is one of the most popular in the Mediterranean. During the day, Mykonos' quaint and quirky streets turn into a conglomeration of tavernas, pubs, bars and clubs that attract many tourists every night during the tourist season. Not only thanks to its romantic nooks and crannies and beautiful architecture, but above all thanks to its wild "party" nature, for which Mykonos is nicknamed "Greek Ibiza", the island has become a popular and highly sought after European resort.
We recommend the MSC Cruises transfer from the port to the city, in this destination it is really necessary, price about 12€.
The port of Mykonos, also known as the Old Port, has a rich history that dates back to the 5th century BC. It was a significant naval base during the Greco-Persian wars, contributing to the economic and military strength of Ancient Greece. The port's strategic location in the Aegean Sea made it an important hub for trade and navigation.
In the 20th century, the port of Mykonos transformed into a bustling tourist destination. Thanks to its picturesque views, vibrant nightlife, and beautiful beaches, it attracted visitors from around the world. Today, it continues to be a popular stop for cruise ships and private yachts, bearing testament to its enduring appeal and historical significance.
"Bird Island" attracts with its magical panorama of a typical coastal resort with a yacht harbour, turquoise coloured water and the Greek island of Samos on the horizon. It is a renowned Turkish resort where a large number of tourists visit every year to enjoy their holidays. It is also ideal for exploring the western part of Turkey, making it a popular resort for travellers. Most of the tourist attractions in Kusadasi are located in the port area. You can see, among others, some good examples of half-timbered houses from the 19th century. The gateway to the old town also survives. The bazaar district, brimming with Turkish souvenirs, starts right at the dock.
In Kusadasi we recommend an optional MSC excursion to the nearby ancient city of Ephesus.
The Port of Kusadasi in Turkey has a rich historical background dating back to the ancient times. It was first founded by the Leleges and later by the Ionians in the 11th century BC. The port city flourished during the Roman era, becoming a prominent trade and cultural hub.
In medieval times, Kusadasi was conquered by the Byzantine Empire and later by the Ottoman Empire. The port was used as a strategic naval base and a gateway to the Aegean Sea. Today, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Turkey, attracting millions of tourists with its beautiful beaches and historical sites.

The nearby Dalyana and Kaunos deltas offer opportunities to explore ancient ruins and natural wonders. With its combination of picturesque landscapes, cultural monuments, and entertainment options, Marmaris is a top destination for travelers seeking relaxation and adventure on Turkey's scenic coastline.
The history of Marmaris dates back to antiquity, when it was known as Physkos and was part of the Kara civilization. The city's strategic location has made it an important port and trading centre since the time of Ancient Greece. Over the centuries, the city has passed through the hands of various civilizations, including the Romans, the Byzantines and finally the Ottomans, who gave it its current name.
An important milestone in the history of Marmaris was the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in the 16th century. He rebuilt the local castle, which became a key fortress in the fight against the expansionist Rhodesian Knights. Today this castle, towering over the harbour, is one of the city's main tourist attractions and a reminder of its rich and turbulent past. A stroll through the narrow streets of the old town will transport you to times long gone and allow you to feel the spirit of history mixing with modern life.

A boat trip to this magical island is an unforgettable experience that combines natural beauty with a touch of history.

The capital of Campania will offer us a stroll through the historic centre, a chance to shop for the latest fashions, or for the real travellers a visit to the Spanish Quarter, which was a closed quarter with its own rules under the rule of the Mafia just a few decades ago. You can also visit the headquarters of MSC Cruises or take advantage of optional excursions to Vesuvius or Pompeii.
The Port of Naples, located in Naples, Italy, is one of the largest Italian seaports and one of the largest seaports in the Mediterranean Sea basin having an annual traffic capacity of around 25 million tons of cargo. This harbor's history dates back to the 8th century BC when it was first established by Greeks, which makes it one of the oldest operated ports in the world.
Over the centuries, the Port of Naples has seen various rulers and has been a significant maritime hub for different empires. In the Roman era, it served as a critical commercial port, facilitating trade across the empire. During the World War II, the port was severely damaged but was quickly rebuilt and expanded.
