Your cruise route

1. day

Lidečko Czech Republic
28. September

In the evening, Mass in the church of St. Catherine in Lidecek and night departure to Italy. In the morning a hot breakfast on the bus.

2. day

Ravenna Italy
29. September, 9:00 - 13:00

In the morning after breakfast visit the beautiful Ravenna. The biggest slap in the face of the proud citizens of Florence is the fact that "their" poet Dante Alighieri, the father of the Italian language, is only buried in the Florentine temple of San Croce and the real place of his eternal rest is Ravenna, the northern Italian city where he spent the end of his life. Dante, who died in September 1321, was originally buried in the local church of St Francis, but is now buried in the tomb we are about to see. Mass and departure to Loreto.

2. - 3. day

Loreto Italy
29. September, 15:00 - 30. September, 9:00

Loreto is a town and Catholic pilgrimage site in central Italy, in the province of Ancona in the Marche region. It is a town of about 11,000 inhabitants, situated on a hill near the Adriatic coast, 20 km southeast of Ancona. After Rome, Loreto is the second most important pilgrimage site in Italy, with 3 million visitors a year. Loreto is the seat of the territorial prelature of Loreto. It is home to the Loreto Shrine, a complex of buildings surrounding the so-called Casa Santa. Its most striking part is the late Gothic three-nave basilica (Chiesa della Casa Santa) from the second half of the 15th century.

Right in the centre of the church stands the Holy Hut itself, with Renaissance richly decorated marble paneling in the form of a block designed by Donato Bramante in 1509. Copies of this shrine, known as a loreto, or loreta in Czech, can be found all over the world. After sightseeing, dinner, overnight.

3. day

Ortona Italy
30. September, 11:00 - 14:00

In the morning, after breakfast, depart for Ortona, where we will visit the 12th century St. Thomas Cathedral, where the relics of the Apostle Thomas were placed in 1258. He is often referred to as the infidel Thomas because he did not believe in the resurrection of Jesus until he touched the wound in his side. After the tour, you can taste fresh fish and seafood, accompanied by local wines such as the famous Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. After the tour, free time for a coffee or ice cream and drive to the next pilgrimage site. During the journey we will have a coffee and a dessert.

3. - 5. day

San Giovanni Rotondo Italy
30. September, 16:00 - 2. October, 8:30

Upon arrival, check in and visit the pilgrimage site, Mass and free program. The small town of San Giovanni Rotondo is famous for the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie, where the Capuchin friar Padre Pio, who was declared a saint by Pope John Paul II in June 2002 for his deeds.

Padre Pio bore the stigmata on his hands and many people were miraculously healed through his intercession. Padre Pio's body rests embalmed in the crypt and many faithful come to see him each year. An important feast in the city is St. Maria delle Grazie on September 8, 9, 10, when the precious image of the Madonna is transferred to the mother church, where it remains for 3 days.

The Capuchin monastery and the new church are now the second largest Catholic pilgrimage site in the world, after Guadalupe in Mexico.

5. day

Monte Sant´Angelo Italy
2. October, 10:00 - 13:00

In the morning after breakfast you will have a real treat. The town of Monte Sant'Angelo itself was founded in the 11th century. Between 1081 and 1103, Monte Sant'Angelo was the capital of a vast Norman dominion under Count Henry, who was a vassal of the Byzantine Empire. At first glance, the inconspicuous town catches your eye when you enter the church. In the cave, which houses the Shrine of St. Michael the Archangel, legend has it that the Archangel Michael appeared in 490, 492 and 493. And it is here that we will have Mass.

Because of the events associated with the last of the three apparitions, September 29 is celebrated as the main Feast of Michaelmas. It is a very important pilgrimage site. In 1987, Pope John Paul II visited the shrine. After the visit a very interesting scenic bus ride to Bari, later a coffee, dessert for a relaxing journey.

5. day

Bari Italy
2. October, 15:00 - 17:30

In the evening, a relaxing tour of "the real Italy". Everything changes, we get to the south of Italy and unexpected places and very interesting architectural gems await. In Bari, we will definitely not miss a visit to the Basilica of St. Nicholas. Its construction began in 1087 on the occasion of the recovery of the relics of Saint Nicholas and the church was consecrated in 1197. Don't forget to have a cup of coffee and buy the locally famous pasta. In the evening drive to the hotel, check in, dinner. And maybe you will have a pleasant surprise.

6. day

Alberobello Italy
3. October, 10:30 - 12:00

In the 17th century the local feudal lord decided not to pay property tax for his subjects. The law in the Kingdom of Naples at the time was that the tax was waived on a house that had not been completed. And since the roofs of the houses, made of flat stones, could be quickly dismantled when the tax collectors arrived, only the style of the quickly dismantled 'trulli' was built here.

While we are in the area, a visit to this special place is definitely not to be missed. Wear your blue hats, a visit to "The Smurf" will be fantastic. After the tour, a coffee and a dessert on the bus as we cross into Matera.

6. day

Matera Italy
3. October, 16:00 - 17:00

Imagine a city carved right into the rock, where every street and house tells a story thousands of years old. Welcome to Matera, one of the oldest cities in the world, often overlooked, but unfairly so. Matera, known as the "City in the Rock", is located in the Basilicata region of southern Italy. This city is unique because of its ancient cave dwellings called "Sassi", which are excavated directly into the rock massif. These caves have been inhabited since the Palaeolithic period and served as homes for the local inhabitants until the 1950s, making Matera one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.

Walking through Matera is like time travel. You can visit the bustling Piazza Vittorio Veneto with its modern cafes and shops, which stand in stark contrast to the quiet, winding streets of Sassi. Don't miss the 13th-century cathedral, which dominates the city with its height and offers unforgettable views of the surrounding countryside. In the evening, arrive in Pompeii for a late dinner, Mass and overnight.

7. day

Pompei Italy
4. October, 8:00 - 14:00

Morning Mass and visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. The founder of the basilica was Bl. Bartolo Longo, a lawyer in the service of Countess Marianne de Fusco, who managed her properties in Pompeii. After his conversion, he began to promote the prayer of the Rosary.

For those interested in history, we also offer the possibility of an individual visit to the legendary ancient Pompeii. Pompeii is one of the cities that was destroyed by the eruption of the Vesuvius volcano in 79 AD. In 1997 Pompeii was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In the afternoon, depart for another pilgrimage site - Montecassino.

7. day

Montecassino Italy
4. October, 18:00 - 20:00

After visiting Naples, we will try to literally climb to a place where history is intertwined with the immense beauty of nature and culture. That place is Montecassino, a pearl of Italy that often escapes the usual tourist routes. This picturesque monastery, nestled on a hilltop in the town of Cassino, is not only an important religious centre but also the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Second World War. The story of Montecassino is one of resilience, faith and renewal.

Founded by Saint Benedict of Nursia in 529, the monastery was destroyed four times and rebuilt four times. Restored after the Second World War, its present form serves as a beacon of hope and shows the strength of the human spirit. Why should you visit Montecassino? It's a place where you can connect with history, art and spirituality.

After the tour, Mass and departure to the hotel, accommodation and dinner.

8. day

Řím (Svaté brány) Italy
5. October, 9:00 - 16:30

Early morning after breakfast, departure to Rome. A visit to the open Holy Gate in St. Peter's Basilica and Mass - the main goal of our pilgrimage tour. Upon arrival at the Vatican, we will visit these amazing sites. You can spend time in prayer or visit the most beautiful monuments of ancient Rome with our guide.

In the evening drive to Orvieto to hotel, check in, dinner and overnight.

9. day

Siena Italy
6. October, 10:00 - 13:00

In the morning after breakfast, depart for Siena and visit the amazing city where the oldest bank or horse racing event of the year in Italy is based. Siena's main square is considered the most beautiful in all of Italy. This is certainly due to its unusual shell shape as well as the well-preserved red brick houses. It was created at the end of the 13th century on the site of the former market square, which was at the junction of all the city's districts. The oldest bank in the world, with the full name of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, is the oldest operating money institution in the world. It started its activities in 1472 to help the most deprived social groups of the city. And there's much more to come. But you must definitely accept our invitation to visit the Cathedral of the Assumption, which was dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the 12th century. The cathedral is built mostly in the Italian Romanesque-Gothic style and is literally a gem of Italian architecture (entrance fee of about 10€ not included in the tour price).

9. day

San Gimignano Italy
6. October, 15:00 - 17:00

In the morning, after breakfast, we'll head to medieval Manhattan, which you can see from a distance on the hill above the Elsa Valley. From a distance, the tall towers promise that something unusual awaits the visitor in the city. There are now 14 towers, but originally there were 75. A fact that sets the town apart from the rest. That's why tourists flock here from all over the world.

The town got its medieval name after the bishop of Modena. It flourished until the sad year of 1348, a year marked by a plague epidemic. Then Florence took over the weakened city. But few people know that the towers were actually built out of resentment between the two leading families of San Gimignano. The towers were the epitome of fury as the families tried to outdo each other. In addition, they had a defensive function. Their height was limited only by the fact that they could not exceed the main city tower, 51 metres.

A scenic walk through this beautiful city and views of the truly amazing landscape around us await us.

9. day

San Gimignano Wineyard Italy
6. October, 17:15 - 19:00

You won't understand. We'll literally take our bus into the field. Yes, right into the vineyard, where you're in for an incredible experience. You will learn Italian and the local staff will learn Czech. Really. You'll taste great wines, truffle oils, delicacies, and we guarantee you'll load our bus perfectly with a pleasant shopping experience of great wines. You will see that you will leave with a smile on your face and joy in your eyes. That's just the way they do it here. So there's a lot to look forward to.

Tuscany is one of the most important and famous wine regions in the world. There are more than 70,000 hectares of vineyards and wine production dates back to the Etruscans. The region is particularly famous for its Chianti red wine, but also for Sangiovese, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and many others. Tuscany is characterised by its Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and mild winters, which, together with the soil, create ideal conditions for growing grapes and producing wines of distinctive character and high quality.

After dinner arrival to the Czech Republic.

10. day
