Achille Staiano appointed Commercial Director of Explora Journeys

Explora Journeys has appointed Achille Staiano as Explora Journeys' Chief Commercial Officer. He joins Explora Journeys from sister company MSC Cruises, where he was senior vice president. He will report directly to Explora Journeys CEO Michael Ungerer.

Staiano first joined MSC in 1994. In 2004, he moved to its cruise division, MSC Cruises, where he helped shape the company's global sales strategy. "I have been part of the MSC family since I was 19 years old and I am proud of the continuous growth I have experienced. My new role at Explora Journeys is an exciting challenge and I look forward to contributing to the brand's continued global growth and success in luxury travel," said the new Explora Journeys Chief Commercial Officer.

According to Michael Ungerer, Staiano's in-depth knowledge of sales, global distribution channels and revenue management in the maritime industry will be a huge asset to further establish our new brand in the luxury travel sector. "He will play a key role in the future growth of our business as more ships join our fleet and our capacity expands.
