Discover the seven unique districts of MSC World America

Cruise company MSC Cruises last year unveiled seven unique zones on its newest flagship, MSC World America, which sets sail this April from Miami, Florida. From a family-friendly zone to a quiet zen area to a lively boardwalk with entertainment, shops and bars, travelers will find a world of options to make the most of their vacation.

The new flagship will dock in Miami, Florida from April 2025, with cruise bookings already available. Each of the seven zones offers its own ambiance, amenities and experiences that have been designed to maximize the onboard experience and make it easy for guests to navigate the ship's 22 decks of 420,000 square feet of public space.

MSC Cruises' head of architecture and concept design Ben Wilson told Passenger Ship Interior & Refurbishment Review: "Because the ship is so large and our guest demographic is so diverse, we want everyone to find a 'home' on the ship. That's why we introduced the concept of individual zones (districts). The first day or two on board, people want to see everything and end up just wandering around the ship aimlessly. This will help them find the places they really want to be."

Zones include a family precinct, an adults-only relaxation area and a colourful promenade. While these areas can be found on other ships in the fleet, including sister ship MSC World Europa, keeping them more clearly separated and defined will allow passengers to make the most of their time on board.

The seven unique zones at MSC World America include:

1. MSC YACHT CLUB

For experienced cruisers, the MSC Yacht Club offers an unrivalled cruising experience. This "ship-within-a-ship" concept from MSC Cruises is only accessible to guests staying in a separate area at the bow of the MSC World America, which is accessed exclusively by keycard.

This popular space forms the first of seven areas of MSC World America and offers a world of privacy, exclusivity and luxury in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. Discerning travelers here will appreciate the personalized service at the MSC Yacht Club, which includes 24-hour butler service, priority embarkation and disembarkation, exclusive lounges and restaurants, and many other perks.

Guests of the MSC Yacht Club can enjoy a unique luxury experience in the privacy of this exceptional area, while still having access to all the other amenities MSC World America has to offer.

2. FAMILY AVENTURA

On the upper decks of the MSC World America, families will find their own Family Aventura entertainment district where they can create unforgettable memories. At its heart is The Harbour, a revolutionary outdoor park where families can engage in activities together, enjoy delicious snacks and soak up the sun. The Harbour features an exciting ropes course and Cliffhanger, the first ever suspended swing over the sea. Along with a family lounge and playground inspired by the iconic Ocean Cay lighthouse, it's a great place for family relaxation and fun (more here).

Family Aventura is also home to Doremiland, an action-packed kids' zone with amazing facilities developed for every age group, from babies to teenagers. And that's not all - add to that a car racing track, roller skating, exciting water slides and a dry slide. It's the perfect place for the whole family to spend days together -no matter what age, everyone will rediscover their inner child here.

3. AQUA DECK

Relax and unwind on the Aqua Deck, a unique area of the MSC World America with an unparalleled ocean-to-water connection featuring the ship's two main spectacular pools. This space is like a chameleon - it changes its shape depending on the time of day. From revitalizing wellness activities and a tranquil atmosphere in the morning, to fun activities during the afternoon, to energetic evening parties, this precinct serves as a vibrant oasis of water fun for all types of guests.

4. ZEN AREA

Enjoy the tranquility of the Zen Area adults only - high at the stern of the boat MSC World America is an exclusive oasis designed as a sanctuary for relaxation and regeneration, offering the perfect space for sunbathing, relaxing by the water and enjoying breathtaking ocean views. Unwind under the sun or stars by the two exclusive pools and enjoy a refreshing cocktail while relaxing from morning to night to the sounds of soft music in a place where tranquility meets refinement. It is the perfect place for guests who want to renew their mind, body and soul.

5. GALLERIA (GALLERY)

Enjoy the richness of life in the heart of MSC World America. This bustling precinct pulses with excitement as guests navigate through a sea of options in aspace that changes its atmosphere with each visit.

Satisfy every craving with dining options, exclusive shopping, exciting games and other activities. Recharge your batteries at one of the local bars, lounges and cafes: live music at Dolce Vita Bar, afternoon coffee and sweet treats at Jean Philippe Chocolat & Café and favourite classics until late into the night at Luna Park Pizza & Burger. Shop till you drop in one of the many boutiques, then move on to the MSC Luna Park Arena, a multi-functional high-tech entertainment space that hosts themed parties and competition shows.

Galleria is a world unto itself with a wonderfully infectious energy.

6. THE TERRACES (TERASY)

Enjoy the atmosphere in The Terraces zone. This special area MSC World America consists of nine restaurants and bars, four shops and a comedy club, which also serves as a bar with dueling pianists and nightly karaoke.

The captivating atmosphere brings together a harmonious blend of avant-garde dining concepts, sophisticated entertainment and enticing shopping options in a unique space that combines indoor and outdoor areas. With a variety of entertainment ranging from thrilling DJ sets to hilarious comedy, guests can start their day with a smoothie at the juice bar, browse watches and jewellery in the glittering windows and end the evening with a delicious dinner at one of five local specialty restaurants serving exquisite dishes from around the world.

7. PROMENADE

The lively, half-covered outdoor promenade will take your breath away. Though located on the eighth deck of the MSC World America, the spectacular views extend to the top of the ship - framed by the central spiraling architectural masterpiece Jaw Drop (an exhilarating 11-story dry slide).

Be amazed by this vibrant and dynamic space for day and night, where there's always something going on for your entertainment. From morning coffee at the authentic Emporium Coffee Bar with some of the finest coffee selections from around the world, to lively evening activities, delicious drinks and fine dining, all accompanied by the sounds of the ocean and enchanting views of the water, the Promenade offers something truly special for everyone.

During its first season, MSC World America will sail from Miami on 7-day cruises to some of the most desirable destinations in the Eastern and Western Caribbean, with stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve - MSC Cruises' unique private island paradise in the Bahamas.
