Luxury cruise company Explora Journeys has unveiled a new art collection and art experiences aboard EXPLORA I. The unique collection includes limited edition silkscreens and lithographs by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, including Warhol's original acrylic and silkscreen prints.
The art collection, carefully selected by the family owners of the company, features a mix of works by renowned and emerging artists. Guests can discover limited edition prints in their suites and hallways, three-dimensional paper wall reliefs, specially commissioned paintings in the restaurants and masterful sculptures by Yves Dana in the lobby.
On deck five, visitors can admire the British Library's collection of Yinka Shonibara: Philanthropists (2021), Activists (2021), Actors (2020), Female Artists (2020) and Writers (2019).
Commenting on the new collections, Koray Savas, vice president of hotel services at Explora Journeys, said: "Art has always been one of the focal points of the guest experience on board our ships. The carefully curated art collection features a mix of renowned and emerging artists alongside works by masters, creating an immersive art experience for guests throughout their journey. From suites to restaurants, and from public spaces to lounges and lobbies, artworks adorn every space, ensuring that every guest's experience is enriched with beauty and inspiration."
Galleria d'Arte is now presenting a private collection of limited edition prints by two masters of Pop Art: Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. In addition, expert art connoisseurs and guides will guide guests through these works of art, further enriching the onboard art experience.
This initiative underscores Explora Journeys' commitment to providing exceptional and culturally enriching experiences for its guests, combining the luxury of cruising with world-class art.
