First Czech Caribbean cruises on MSC World America

The newest ship in the MSC Cruises fleet - MSC World America - will offer an unforgettable and unique experience full of newness and luxury. The ship was successfully christened by Drew Barrymore in mid-April, and the Riviera Tour was on hand for the wonderful event. But want to experience the ship for yourself? S you can! In addition to the individual cruises, our delegates will be going aboard this ship.

Caribbean in luxury

The MSC World America will be navigating the waters of the Caribbean and will always begin its journey in Miami. Cruises will include either the Eastern or Western Caribbean. In addition to new forms of shipboard entertainment, you can discover the beauty of some spectacular destinations you won't soon forget.

One of the most beautiful stops is the city of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, famous for its beaches, historical sites, and natural beauty. Immediately at the port, you'll find a modern resort full of shops, attractions, and most importantly, Dominican rum! If you're looking for relaxation on the beach, Dorada is the perfect place for both relaxation and sports. But if you go for a walk in town, houses full of colour, scents and music await you. Just how pink can it get? As well as the umbrella alley, there's the pink Paseo de Dona Blanca.

On MSC World America cruises, you can also explore Puerto Rico's San Juan. The city is one of the earliest European settlements founded in the Americas. The settlement of Caparra was founded in 1521, and a year later some of the Spanish colonizers moved closer to the sea, to the site where the historic center of San Juan stands today. The new settlement was named "San Juan Bautista" in honour of John the Baptist. Officially, the town was founded 28 years after Christopher Columbus discovered America. Incidentally, San Juan is also the home of singer Ricky Martin. And, for the record, the city forms one of the vertices of the Bermuda Triangle, a legendary area shrouded in mystery associated with the unexplained disappearances of ships and planes.

That time in the west

In addition to the Eastern Caribbean, MSC World America cruises will offer destinations in the West or a combination of both. Take a trip to Mexico's Cozumel. The name can be translated as "Island of Swallows". At first glance, it captivates with its unique natural scenery. One of the biggest attractions is the Mesoamerican Coral Reef, which attracts visitors mainly due to its great swimming and diving opportunities. Those who want to relax on the beach can take a ferry to the mainland and visit the famous Playa Del Carmen.

Mexico definitely has a lot to offer to anyone looking for the perfect holiday. Although there are many smaller and larger resorts, the real pride of this country is the coastCosta Maya.Mexico is known not only for its colonial history, but also for other distinctive features. Among the most famous symbols is tequila, a traditional drink that we associate with the country around the world. Modern Mexico, meanwhile, shows fascinating contrasts, with shanty towns lining the edges of the major cities alongside luxurious metropolises.

But we don't stop with Mexico. The Western Caribbean also offers the beautiful Honduras. Roatán is the largest island of the Honduran archipelago Islas de la Bahía and is located less than 50 km off the coast of Honduras. It is protected by the majestic mountains of mainland Honduras, whose peaks reach 2,400 metres above sea level. This location makes Roatán relatively safe from natural disasters. Approximately 15% of its land area is built-up, while the rest is covered by lush tropical forests. The coastline is lined with beautiful sandy beaches with crystal clear turquoise water.

Private paradise

But on both itineraries, cruise lovers will also find the private island of Ocean Cay in the Bahamas. In 2015, Bahamian Prime Minister Perry Christie and MSC Cruises executive chairman Pierfrancesco Vago signed a 100-year contract allowing MSC Cruises to take over and manage the Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. The island now offers an authentic Caribbean holiday experience with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The history of Ocean Cay is a story of transformation - originally sand was mined here, but an MSC Cruises project launched in 2015 led to extensive ecological restoration. Industrial waste has been removed and the marine environment regenerated, turning the 95-acre island into a thriving marine reserve. With excellent facilities, visitors can find plenty to keep them entertained - from bike and vehicle hire to restaurants, gazebos for weddings and social events.
