Looking back at the HOLIDAY WORLD fair in Prague
As you already know from our website, this year we participated in the tourism fair HOLIDAY WORLD & REGION WORLD 2024, which took place from 15.3.2024 - 17.3.2024 in Prague. Our Riviera Group had here, besides the well-known Riviera Tour stand, a new stand of our new company Riviera Journeys, in which we presented a completely new product of the world of ocean cruises, in which the cruise becomes a "journey".
As every year, Riviera Tour had prepared for you during the fair cruises at discounted prices, which you could order directly at our stand. In addition, visitors were able to see models of MSC Cruises' ships, which attracted a lot of attention from the start. The biggest attraction was a brand new mock-up of its largest and most luxurious ship, the MSC World Europa.
In the Riviera Journeys exhibition we had virtual reality glasses ready for you to take aboard the new Explora I. There was a huge interest in virtual reality. This was evidenced by the fact that the glasses suddenly stopped working on Saturday afternoon - after a full day of operation, it was simply too much even for the technology. In addition to the goggles, the three models of Explora Journeys also attracted attention, where guests could easily see the new features on board these vessels.
The course of the fair: unexpected meetings and space for new cooperation
The first day of the fair was reserved for industry experts and for establishing contractual cooperation. During this day, we had the opportunity to meet new people and companies with whom it was possible to establish possible future cooperation and thus improve our services for you, our clients. After this day, we think you have a lot to look forward to in the future.
Saturday and Sunday were for the general public. And it wouldn't be Riviera if it wasn't again completely different from the other expositions. Without suspecting anything, Saturday was a day of meeting familiar faces. The moment the gates of the Prague Exhibition Centre opened and the exhibition halls started bursting at the seams, a group of familiar faces emerged from the crowd and headed straight for our stand. It was the family of our great manager Zuzka, who is the main face of our new product, and throughout the fair she was in charge of conferences, where she introduced the revolutionary style of cruises with Riviera Journeys. After the initial shock and short-term breath-holding of all of us (and especially Zuzka), came a wave of joy and gratitude that the support of family, friends and friends knows no bounds when it comes to our travel company and are willing to get up at 3am and travel over 350km by train just to create this magical moment.
The next hours and Sundays unfolded in this spirit and the familiar faces who came to greet us and find out news from the world of sailing gradually increased. On Saturday we also announced the winners of the fair's competition to win a cruise to MSC World Europa with transport and delegate worth 100,000 CZK. The winner was a family from Hodonín, to whom we would like to offer our sincere congratulations.
Surprising numbers
What surprised us the most was the attendance figures we learned after returning home. After that, we were not surprised that both of our stands were literally bursting at the seams for three days, but especially on Saturday. The HOLIDAY WORLD & REGION WORLD 2024 fair, which took place in Hall 3 of the PVA EXPO PRAGUE exhibition centre in Letňany, was enjoyed by an incredible 70,000 satisfied visitors, which is twice as many as last year.
