Last week, MSC Cruises unveiled Cliffhanger, the first and only suspended swinging attraction at sea, which will debut aboard MSC World America at its April 2025 christening. The swing will tower above the upper deck at 50 metres above sea level and will be part of the Family Aventura family theme park.
Guests of the Cliffhanger (literally "hanging from a cliff") swing first into four seats that first ride with them just above deck level. They are then lifted to their starting position over the edge of the ship by mechanically powered arms. Here, they will be able to swing back and forth 50 metres above ocean level, with the wind in their hair, while their view oscillates between the sea below them and the sky high above (you can see a video of the swing in operation here).
The MSC World America will become MSC Cruises' newest flagship at a ceremony to be held on 9. April 2025 at the new MSC Cruises terminal in Miami, USA. Its guests will be able to enjoy seven different areas, each with its own atmosphere, amenities and experiences just waiting to be discovered. MSC World America's special areas will allow guests of all ages to choose their own holiday adventure and make the most of their time on board.
