MSC Cruises will be the main sponsor of three Formula One race weekends in the 2025 season, the cruise company announced in a press release last week. This year's events will include the Austrian Grand Prix, the US Grand Prix and the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The cooperation between MSC Cruises and the queen of motorsport is now in its third year and, thanks to its outstanding results, has been extended until 2026. The shipping company is the main partner of several races each season.
And what races with MSC Cruises logos can we look forward to this year?
MSC Cruises will be the main sponsor for three weekends during the 2025 season. The first will be the Grand Prix of Austria, which is almost a home race for us. The Red Bull Ring circuit is relatively close to our home country, plus it is one of the most popular race weekends on the Formula 1 calendar. The track is located in the Styrian mountains and there is also a bull statue in the area that symbolizes the name of the circuit. The sharp corners certainly make for a great spectacle. This year the race will take place fromJune 27 to 29.
The U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, will also be held under the direction of the shipping company. The COTA circuit, which is a mix of turns from other iconic circuits, will offer two races - a sprint and the main grand prix. COTA will test pilots October 17-19.
The final race weekend under the MSC banner will be the Grand Prix of Brazil, the 21st race of the season. This year's edition will feature young Brazilian pilot Gabriel Bortoleto, who is sure to attract considerable attention throughout the race weekend from November 7 to 9.
A similar format will await enthusiasts in May. The new luxury ship Explora II of the MSC Group's Explora Journeys will dock in the port of Monaco. As well as providing a luxurious home for guests, it will also provide parties and the opportunity to watch the race right in the iconic Port Hercule harbour. Where else but in Monaco can you combine traditional racing with modern-day luxury. For more information, visit [email protected].
The combination of MSC Cruises and Formula 1 has created some very original cruises and in the past there has been the opportunity to watch a race weekend directly from some of the ships in the Italian company's fleet. Clients have been able to purchase unique experiences linked to motorsport and cruising, including tickets of different categories, for example at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2023 or in Qatar last year.
Are you tempted by the opportunity to go on a Formula 1 cruise with MSC Cruises? We don't yet have details on the scope of the collaboration, but if you're interested in learning more, email us at [email protected] to find out more.
