Market prices for cruises
Unlike hotel reservations, the cruise company offers cruises at so-called market prices. This means that the current price of the cruise depends on the cruise company's current sales. In practice, this means that the price offer is valid for that particular moment. If you do not accept the offer, the price may change to a lower or even higher price level. Therefore, it is quite common for you to purchase a cruise for, say, £20,000, while your colleague at the table with the same cabin and services may pay up to 100% more for their cabin.
Current price of the cruise
Our website lists current prices for cruises with transport and a representative per person. The price of the cruise may vary depending on the current situation. As a rule, the cheapest prices are offered in the FIRST MINUTE offer approximately a year and a half before the start of the cruise, usually in April, when we prepare a new cruise catalogue. The difference between the catalogue price and the first minute offer can be more than £700 per person, so we recommend booking your cruise/trip with transport and a representative well in advance.
What does the price of the cruise consist of?
Our credo is to quote the total price for the cruise. However, cruise companies divide the price into several items. Therefore, at first glance, it may seem that some competing offers are more affordable for you. However, we would like to remind you to always compare the total price of the cruise and, above all, to make sure that you will not have to pay anything extra before departure or on board the ship. That is why our offer on the website for cruises with transport and a representative is listed as the total price per person.
What does the price of the cruise consist of?

Port taxes
Port taxes are mandatory fees for boarding and disembarking services, porter services during boarding and disembarking, and boarding and disembarking services at individual destinations, and are automatically added to the price of the cruise in your travel contract.
Service charges
On board, you do not pay at bars with cash, but with a special ship card. There are no tips, baksheesh or similar fees on board, which are common in restaurants and hotels. There are also no fees for using sun loungers, pool service, swimming pools, hot tubs, etc. There are no entrance fees for the theatre, entertainment programmes, discos, port taxes, accommodation fees, etc. All these fees are included in the single service charge.
The cruise line charges a service fee of approximately €12 per night (Caribbean approximately $13.50 per night) per adult and approximately €6 per night per child aged 2–12. From 1 December 2023, the service charge will be automatically added to the price of the cruise and is included in the total price of the cruise stated in the travel contract.
Insurance against insolvency and contribution to the guarantee fund
Every travel agency must be insured against bankruptcy by law and must pay into a guarantee fund. These payments are mandatory and have a significant impact on the price of the trip. The majority of cruise sellers sell cruises as travel agents. However, this transfers all risks directly to the customer and, in the event of problems, they waive any responsibility.
Riviera Tour goes its own way and all our tours are sold through a travel agency. This service gives you a sense of security and safety on your travels. If you want certainty and peace of mind, before purchasing a cruise, make sure you are buying it as a cruise through a travel agency or as a tour through a travel agency.
Price of transport to and from the port
The total price of the cruise/trip with transport and a representative includes transport to and from the port, including any transfers. This item is part of the trip price and cannot be changed or deducted, even if you use your own transport.
Delegate services
You will appreciate the services of a representative, especially if you are going on a cruise for the first time. A representative is a truly welcome assistant when organising a trip, boarding, disembarking, dealing with various situations on board the ship and, in particular, when visiting destinations, which is especially appreciated by clients with language barriers.

Further information
Prices are per person per cruise. The minimum number of people in a cabin is two. If you are interested in a single cabin, we will provide you with the price upon request; there is a 50-100% surcharge. Upon request, we will send you calculations for outside cabins with windows, balcony cabins or suites, or a special offer at the YACHT CLUB.
Children
Discounts for children under 18 years of age are available on request, subject to cabin availability. They are always conditional on at least two adults sharing the cabin.
When to buy a cruise
Prices vary throughout the year depending on the occupancy of individual ships. As a rule, the shorter the time until departure, the higher the price. Please note that some cruises are sold out a year in advance. Our clients usually purchase cruises approximately 1.5 years in advance to get a good price.
How much will I pay when booking a cruise?
Upon confirmation of the travel contract, a basic payment of CZK 15,000 per travel contract is always payable. If the travel agency also arranges air transport for the client as part of the travel contract, the full price of air transport is added to this advance payment (air transport cannot be cancelled). The balance of the travel contract is always paid 55 days before embarkation.
