Beverage packages

Based on years of experience, not only ours but also that of your predecessors who have sailed with us, we know that if you really want to enjoy your holiday on a boat, it is worth purchasing a drinks package immediately upon signing the contract.

Of course, the basic price of all MSC Cruises includes extended full board, which includes all-day dining in the buffet and served restaurants. But you're probably wondering about drinks. Simply put, the extended full board price includes a drinks machine located in the buffet restaurant, from which you can get free water, tea and coffee, and juice at breakfast.

All other beverages (quality coffee, drinks, alcoholic beverages, bottled water) must be paid for separately by the client. And that can really add up, especially when there is a 15% surcharge on every item purchased on board. A drink that costs €8 ends up costing €9.20, which can add up to a lot at the end of the cruise.

That is why we recommend that all our clients purchase a drinks package before booking their cruise, which is available at no extra charge when purchasing at the time of signing the contract. Because you simply save money...

How many drinks do I need to consume to make the package worthwhile?

To give you a better idea, we have prepared an example of the consumption of a typical customer during a cruise who wants to enjoy their holiday to the fullest:

During breakfast on the boat, you must try the delicious cappuccino or espresso (price on the boat without the package approx. €3). At breakfast, you can also order a bottle of water for your walk into town, which costs €2.50 without the package. After returning from town, enjoy a small beer (€6) for lunch, and a delicious mixed cocktail (€7) by the pool. Since it is necessary to stay hydrated, you will add another bottle of water (€2.50) and an afternoon coffee (€2.50). For dinner, you will surely have a glass of wine (€7) and water (€2.5), and during the evening programme, a mixed drink (€7). You are already close to the amount you paid for the daily beverage package. And you will surely have more than one drink in the evening... And beware, without the drinks package, a 15% surcharge is added to each drink.

So if you want to truly enjoy your holiday and not worry every day about whether you can afford another mojito, drink packages are the right choice for you. Each person can purchase up to 15 drinks per day with the package (any additional drinks are paid for separately), so it's definitely worth it!

What packages can I choose from?

MSC Cruises beverage packages are divided into alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The alcoholic package is offered in two variants, namely Basic E-EASY and for the more demanding E-EASY PREMIUM. The non-alcoholic package is called ALCOHOL-FREE, and for children MINORS.

Purchase of packages

Packages must be purchased by each person in a shared cabin, including children. Children will receive discounted child packages. Packages and their redemption is only for clients who have purchased a package. It is not possible to purchase drinks for other clients or exchange cards. Packages can only be purchased for the entire cruise and are non-refundable.

If you purchase packages when signing the travel contract, you will save 15% of the total package price. On board, packages can only be purchased on the first day of boarding. However, a 15% fee will be automatically added to your price. We therefore recommend purchasing packages in advance when booking your cruise with our travel agency. Our colleagues will also be happy to advise you on which package is best for you based on their own experience.

Drinks menu on board

The basic price of the cruise includes full board extended to include drinks from vending machines. It should be noted that these vending machines are located exclusively in the buffet restaurant. In the morning, they offer 3-4 types of sweet juices, coffee, tea and cocoa. During the day, they offer water, coffee and tea. All drinks purchased at bars or restaurants outside of the vending machines are paid for and added to your hotel bill. A 15% tax is automatically added to all services ordered at bars or restaurants.

Terms and conditions for beverage packages

• Drink packages in advance sales can be purchased with a 15% discount. If you purchase a package on board the ship, a 15% surcharge will automatically be added to the price of the package.

• Drink packages are non-transferable and cannot be shared with other guests; they are valid for one drink per order only.

• Prices are valid for every day of the cruise except the day of disembarkation.

• Packages must be ordered by all guests staying in the same cabin, travelling together and wishing to dine at the same table. This also applies to minors, for whom it is necessary to book a package for minors. As a result, our systems will not allow you to enter "TRAVELLING WITH" unless guests purchase the same package. It is therefore not possible to seat people with different beverage packages at the same table for dinner.

• Packages are sold for the entire cruise, not for individual days.

• Prices apply to each day of the cruise, except for the day of disembarkation.

• Once a package has been ordered, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.

• Packages are not mandatory for children under the age of three.

• Beverages and spirits may be substituted depending on availability and itinerary.

• For cruises in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean, alcoholic beverages are served to persons over the age of 21.

• In the event of local regulations (Ramadan), if the ship is anchored in a country that restricts alcohol consumption, alcoholic beverages cannot be served while the ship is anchored at the destination.

• Packages are available in all bars, buffets, the main dining room and on private islands.

• Tips for drinks are included in the price.

• The package can be used for a maximum of 15 alcoholic beverages per day.

** It is possible to purchase a higher quality beverage if available by paying the difference between the price of your package beverage and the actual price of the higher quality beverage.
