The port of Kiel in Germany, situated on the Baltic Sea, has a long and rich history. Its origins can be traced back to the 13th century when it was founded by Count Adolf IV of Holstein. In 1242, Kiel was granted city rights and quickly developed into a significant maritime and trade hub due to its strategic location.
In the 19th and 20th centuries, Kiel gained prominence as a major shipbuilding center. The city's port was home to the German Imperial Navy and later the Kriegsmarine of Nazi Germany. During World War II, the city and its port were severely damaged, but they were rebuilt in the post-war years. Today, the port of Kiel is one of the busiest in Germany, serving as a crucial gateway for cargo, passengers, and cruise ships.
A visit to this city is truly impressive. We visit the little mermaid, take a few photos with the castle guards, whose hats are known to the whole world. Did you know they weigh up to 8 kg? More from our delegate. The walk through the city centre itself is very charming and relaxing. MSC Cruises transfer required.
The history of the Port of Copenhagen, Denmark's largest harbour, dates back to the Middle Ages when it played a crucial role in the city's growth and development. The port was originally established by Bishop Absalon in the 12th century, who built a fortress on the island of Slotsholmen, creating a natural harbour which would become the heart of Copenhagen.
Through the centuries, the Port of Copenhagen grew and modernised. During the industrial revolution in the 19th century, the port expanded, with new docks and warehouses constructed to accommodate increasing trade. The port was a significant hub for Denmark's international trade and naval power. In the 20th century, the port faced challenges as industry moved away from the city centre, but it has since transformed into a bustling area with residential, business and recreational facilities.

The Geiranger port in Norway has a rich history that dates back to the Viking Age. Located in the Geirangerfjord, this port was an important strategic location due to its proximity to the sea. The Geirangerfjord itself is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, featuring steep mountain cliffs and deep blue waters.
In the 19th century, Geiranger port gained prominence as a major tourist destination. Visitors were drawn to its breathtaking landscapes and the town's unique charm. The cruise port was established in the 20th century and has since seen a steady flow of tourists from around the world. Today, the Geiranger port continues to be a vital part of Norway's tourism industry.
The Norwegian county of Romsdal is home to the town of Molde, which lies on the northern shore of the Romsdalsfjord on the peninsula of the same name. The town has a very pleasant and mild climate and you may even know it as the "City of Roses". You can visit the Romsdal Museum or take a ride on the scenic train and enjoy the beautiful nature.
The Port of Molde, also known as Molde Fjord, is situated in Romsdal, Norway. Its history dates back to the late 19th century when it was established as a trading post. The port was initially used for the export of timber and fish, which were the main economic activities in the region. Over the years, it has expanded and developed into a major hub for cargo and passenger services.
In the 20th century, the Port of Molde saw significant growth, becoming a key gateway for the export of goods from Norway to international markets. The port played a crucial role during World War II, serving as a strategic location for the Allies. In the contemporary era, it serves as a crucial stopover point for cruise ships, reflecting its importance in Norway's tourism industry. The port is also known for its stunning views of the Molde Fjord and the surrounding mountains, making it a popular tourist destination.
The village of Flaam is famous for the steepest railway from Flaam to Myrdal. This panoramic ride of about 1.5 hours will enchant you with the beautiful scenery of Norwegian nature, waterfalls, rocks and local flora and fauna. A stop directly below the 93-metre waterfall is a truly unique experience. The train trip is optional* at an additional cost and can only be booked when arranging a travel contract.
The delegate will take part in an optional excursion at this destination.
Flåm, a small village nestled in the heart of Norway's fjord region, has a rich history deeply connected to its stunning natural surroundings and its role as a transportation hub. The settlement's origins date back over a thousand years, with evidence suggesting it was primarily an agricultural community. Its name, "Flåm," is derived from the Old Norse word "Flá," meaning "plain" or "flat piece of land," a reference to the fertile valley floor where the village is located. Historically, Flåm's position along the Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the Sognefjord, made it an important location for trade and communication between Norway's coastal and inland regions.
The most significant development in Flåm's history came in the early 20th century with the construction of the Flåm Railway (Flåmsbana), which opened in 1940. Designed to connect Flåm to the Bergen Railway at Myrdal, it allowed easier access to the remote village and played a critical role in transporting goods and passengers. The railway, a marvel of engineering at the time, transformed Flåm from a quiet farming community into a key transportation link and, eventually, a major tourist destination. Today, the Flåm Railway not only serves as a historical landmark but also as a testament to the village’s evolution and its enduring connection to Norway's cultural and natural heritage.

My name was probably meant for me. The origin of my name is not completely clear, and so my paths are often indeterminate, so I try to listen to my intuition as much as possible. Maybe that's why my path was crossed by Riviera Tour CK, which made my desire to travel even stronger;
I am communicative and try to be positive all the time. I like to have something going on around me all the time, but I also know when I need to be by myself to re-invent myself and be there for everyone again. Sometimes it's hard because I try to push myself beyond my limits, but it's not always the right decision. That's why I love self-development and try to make the best out of every situation for me, my family, friends and my surroundings.
Since the birth of my son, I have been learning to see the world without prejudice, to notice the beauty of "ordinary life" and to live in the here and now. Thanks to this, I am slowly realizing that sometimes we make life unnecessarily more complicated than it really is. Travelling, meeting new people and cultures is my passion, but I always like to come back to where I belong - home.
