The MSC Musica and MSC Euribia, two ships in the MSC Cruises fleet, will be joining the South Africa and Persian Gulf are returning to Europe - but this time without guests. The change of plans was forced by the security situation at sea, which forced both ships to cancel their Red Sea and Suez Canal crossings.
The MSC Musica set sail on her crew-only voyage in late March from Cape Town. After more than two weeks, with one technical stop in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, she arrived in Genoa, Italy, on April 16, from where she will sail 10-day cruises across the western Mediterranean and Atlantic throughout the summer. During these, she will call at the ports of Genoa, Olbia, Marseille, Menorca, Málaga, Alicante and from the Atlantic side in the cities of Cádiz a Lisabon. She will then sail to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, from where she will be taking cruises around the Canary Islands with a stop in Madeira until the end of the year.
You can visit both destinations on MSC Musica with us on a total of 3 Riviera Tour cruises with port transportation and delegate. For a list of these, see zde.
The MSC Euribia also returns from its Persian Gulf cruises without guests on board. Due to pirate and terrorist activities off the coast of Yemen, instead of a shorter journey through the Suez Canal, she will circumnavigate the whole of Africa on her voyage and arrive in the German port of Kiel on May 3, from where she will cruise the Norwegian fjords all summer long.
