As more and more tourists flock to different destinations, cities and some countries have introduced entry fees. Cruise ship fees are no exception, and Greece has now come up with such fees.
From 21 July 2025, as part of the promotion of sustainable tourism, a new port charge per person will be introduced. The aim of this measure is to contribute to the improvement of local infrastructure, the protection of cultural heritage sites and the overall improvement of visitor services.
No need to worry - MSC Cruises will pay the fee directly to the Greek authorities on your behalf
the amount will be credited to your ship's account the day before you visit the relevant Greek port
if you choose not to disembark, the fee will be automatically debited from your account within 24 hours
