Four months until the launch of MSC World America

There are exactly four months to go until the launch of MSC Cruises' new flagship, MSC World America, as of today. The shipping company has released some key information about the ship's design and equipment in recent weeks - so let's take a look at what's in store for this new ship.

The MSC World America is an evolution of the successful MSC Cruises World Class prototype. In concept, it is a future cruise ship that features many modern enhancements in addition to the familiar attractions. The ship is now divided into sectors ("quarters"), designed for different groups of clients. Families with children, young couples, groups and seniors will all enjoy the seven quarters of MSC World America. The consistent separation of neighbourhoods ensures that everyone can enjoy their holiday to the fullest.

Bernhard Stacher, MSC Cruises' Vice President of Shipboard Hospitality, commented: "We've invested heavily in enhancing MSC World America to provide a truly memorable cruise experience, with new restaurants, bars, experiences and spaces. With the only Eataly restaurant at sea, the brand new Paxos Greek restaurant and MSC Cruises' first comedy club, The Loft, there is truly a space and experience for every guest."

MSC World America will combine MSC Cruises' elegant European design with North American comfort and attractions. As a result, the ship features a huge entertainment districtFamily Ventura, where you can try out a huge ropes course, an upgraded playground, a waterpark with several water slides or an adrenaline-pumping swing that will take you above sea level. The ship's amenities and attractions are designed to enhance the on-board experience, allowing each guest to create a holiday that is truly unique and make the most of their time on board.

William Monts de Oca Rivera, Head of Guest Experience Innovation, adds: "There are many exciting experiences to be had on board MSC. One of MSC World America's biggest innovations is The Harbour, part of the Family Aventura district, a revolutionary new outdoor space specifically designed for children and families to gather, play and relax together. It features Cliffhanger - a state-of-the-art swinging attraction 50 metres above the ocean that will bring a whole new dimension to the cruise experience."

The MSC World America is under construction at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, and is currently in the fit-out phase, with all interiors, public spaces and equipment being installed. MSC Cruises' new flagship will be launched at a ceremony in Miami on April 9, 2025.

You can join us on a cruise on MSC World America with air transportation and a Czech delegate included next autumn from 31 October to 9 November 2024 - link here. All individual cruises (i.e. without a delegate with your own transport) can then be found at this link.
