A cruise at sea is not a stay at a hotel. All services are interdependent in time and in case of misjudgement, delays, etc. can have unpleasant consequences for the client. It is also necessary, as this is a sea voyage, to observe certain rules and regulations for the safe conduct of the voyage.
MSC and its staff are always very attentive to the needs of guests and constantly strive to offer the best possible service that meets international accessibility standards. Guests with various disabilities can submit their special requirements to the company by filling out the Special Needs Form. This form is available from Riviera Tour upon request. It is important that these requests are made at the time of booking so that they can be registered and prepared in advance. Cannot be handled retrospectively.
On a cruise with bus transport by CK RIVIERA TOUR, children over 3 years of age may participate in the cruise, while the passenger is obliged to provide a child seat approved for the transport of children on the bus. Children under three years of age will not be accepted for transportation on the bus. For air travel overseas (USA, UAE, Brazil, Cuba), children over 5 years of age may participate in the air tour.
Guests with dialysis can travel as regular clients, bringing on board all the medicines and equipment they normally need for their condition. Relevant medical treatments are available through the medical facilities. This service must always be requested separately from Riviera Tour CK.
MSC Cruises can accommodate most special dietary requirements on its ships. Their preparation is limited to the main restaurants, where chefs have more control over the production and serving of special meals. Neither the cruise company nor the Riviera Tour can guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur in other types of restaurants (especially buffet-type restaurants).
Allergies or intolerances: If you make this request in advance, the on-board staff will be happy to assist you in selecting dishes that do not contain substances that could cause an allergic reaction.
Gluten-free menus are prepared by qualified staff in dedicated kitchens on board the ship:
MSC Cruises is certified to the ISO 22000 food safety management system.
Gluten-free menus (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are available in the main restaurants on most ships. On MSC Armonia, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Opera a MSC Lirica, guests will find a limited selection of pre-prepared gluten-free snacks such as cookies, croissants, biscuits and muffins.
When booking your cruise, please check the availability of gluten-free menus on your cruise.
Vegetarian menus are incorporated into the menus of the ship's main restaurants and the culinary offerings of the buffet restaurants.
Vegan menus are incorporated into the menus of the main restaurants on board and the culinary offerings of the buffet restaurants.
Kosher meals (pre-prepared breakfasts, lunches and dinners) may be available on board for an additional €25/day. Kosher meals can be eaten in the main restaurants and must be booked at least 3 weeks before the ship sails.
Halal products (beef, lamb and poultry) may be available on board upon prior request by guests, at least 2 months prior to departure.
For blind clients, all MSC Cruises ships in service since 2008 (MSC Fantasia and beyond) are equipped with Braille signs in public areas, elevators and at cabin entrances. Guests with this disability may be asked to be accompanied by a caregiver or guide dog for their safety. Invisible clients cannot participate in the cruise with transport and delegate.
Clients requiring assistance from a guide dog can apply for a cabin on any of the MSC ships. The guide dog must be trained and certified as well as have the necessary documents to enter a foreign country during the cruise. Persons assisted by a guide dog cannot participate in a cruise with transportation and a delegate.
Hearing impaired clients must always travel with a accompanying person or carer. Passengers with a partial hearing impairment can also travel alone, but only if they request the installation of a TDD set in their cabin. This kit is available in limited quantities on all ships - it includes a light and vibrating device, a text phone and an analogue alarm clock. For these clients, wireless amplifiers and lights are available in the theatre, public areas and elevators. Hearing impaired clients are unable to participate in cruises with transportation and a delegate.
All decks, public areas and tenders (lifeboats used in some ports for disembarkation) are designed to be as accessible as possible for guests with reduced mobility. For safety reasons, clients with disabilities may be asked to be accompanied by a caregiver (depending on the specific itinerary). Wheelchairs are also available on all ships, for guest use during embarkation and disembarkation or in case of emergency. For guests who require continuous use of a wheelchair, it is essential that they bring it and the necessary equipment with them.
Handicapped cabins, especially equipped for guests with disabilities or limited mobility, are available on every ship. It is important for guests who require this type of cabin to specify it when booking. There are a limited number of these cabins on the ship. Handicapped cabins are larger and more spacious, provide more room to move around than regular cabins, and also have extra amenities and facilities tailored for these guests.
It happens that some elderly passengers do not realistically assess their health status. Sailing at sea has its own specifics and medical fitness is a guarantee for your safe sailing. For these reasons, we require confirmation of seaworthiness for all persons over the age of 75 (70 by air). You should submit the confirmation form to your district doctor and send it to the travel agency when you sign the contract. The tour operator has the right to cancel the tour-cruise without a medical certificate.

Pregnant women must always have a doctor's note before boarding the ship. The ship is not adequately equipped for the birth of a baby or to deal with complications during pregnancy. Therefore, women from the 24th week of pregnancy cannot be admitted to the ship. Before boarding the ship, a woman should always consult her condition with her doctor.
