We swapped the Czech autumn for sunny Miami and went on a Caribbean cruise with our group of travelers on the newest ship MSC WORLD AMERICA🤩 We visited Isla de Roatan, where we had the opportunity to pet and feed the iguanas. In Mexico, we docked in Costa Maya and explored the local beaches and the stunning Mayan pyramids of Chacchoben. On Mexico's largest island, Cozumel, we visited a museum to see how tequila is made and also sampled some unusual flavors like chocolate and pomegranate. Our last stop was MSC's private island, Ocean Cay, in the Bahamas, where we enjoyed ultimate relaxation, soaking up the sun, swimming in the clear turquoise sea and sipping drinks in style under a palm tree. We also gathered strength for our return to the cold Czech Republic. We really enjoyed the Caribbean cruise and especially the amazing MSC WORLD AMERICU. Thank you to everyone involved for a wonderful experience and we look forward to seeing you again😊

In mid-October, we were still able to head out into the sunshine with the Riviera Tour to the western Mediterranean and straight onto the biggest ship in Europe, the World Europa. The journey to the Italian port of Genoa was uneventful and we took a short walk around the city to stretch our legs from the journey. Stepping off our coach we were able to observe the ship in all its glory. Immediately after boarding, most of us rushed to explore the services the ship has to offer.
The first destination was Naples, Italy. The home of Pizza Margarita welcomed us with sunshine and we could go for at least a short walk in the centre. Castle Nuovo, the Galleria Umberto I and the Basilica of St. Francis de Paula certainly captivated us. We also celebrated a birthday on the boat in the evening!
We continued on to Sicily, specifically to the town of Messina. The sun didn't disappoint us here either and we walked to the Duomo Cathedral and the Cristo Re Church, which is a memorial to the victims of World War I. At 12:00, the local astronomical clock started the Ave Maria music, accompanied by roaring lion statues.
Valletta was probably the most beautiful destination of our tour. Even as we stepped off the boat, you could feel that the day was going to be sunny and beautiful. The Barakka elevator took us to the Barakka Gardens from where we proceeded to the statue of the city's founder and the open air theatre. At the Grand Master's Palace we had a chance to catch a glimpse of the President of Malta. Then we had a day at sea and a double birthday full of laughter and merriment.
The night before Barcelona was full of waves, but that didn't scare us off. In the morning we were surprised by the wind, but then the sun came out. We made our way up to the Sagrada Familia, where we watched the work in progress on this gem that is due to be completed next year.
The last stop was Marseille, France and a walk to the Notre Dame de la Garde Cathedral, which towers over the city and offers a beautiful view of the Old Port and La Major Cathedral.
I would like to thank the whole group for walking so well and enjoying the whole time on the MSC World Europa. Your delegate Helca and the Riviera Tour team.
Další den jsme vyrazili do Istanbulu, kde jsme navštívili Haga Sofiu, modrou mešitu i světoznámý Grand bazar, byl to den nabitý zážitky.

Our Riviera Tour adventure began in picturesque Pisa, where we had the opportunity to admire the iconic Leaning Tower, which never disappoints with its photogenic nature or the atmosphere of the Italian streets. Pisa thus offered us the perfect introduction to our cruise.
The next day we docked in Marseille, France. From there we went for a walk in the oldest quarter Le Panier, which charmed us with its colorful houses and narrow streets. At the harbour, we then saw the famous Ombrière mirror, which literally mirrors the city upside down. We ended our journey at the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Garde, where we had a view not only of the entire city, but also of the island of If, famous for the story of the Count of Monte Cristo.
In Barcelona, Spain, we let the city's lively atmosphere engulf us. We strolled along the lively La Rambla, admired Gaudi's original buildings such as the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló and Casa Milà, and took in the scent of fresh fruit and spices at the Mercat de la Boqueria. Barcelona was simply the perfect blend of culture, colour and energy.
Our journey then continued to Tunis, where we were greeted by a local guide and guided through the ancient medina with its narrow streets, traditional markets and the smell of the Orient. We also visited the remains of ancient Carthage and ended the day in picturesque Sidi Bou Said, whose blue and white houses overlooking the sea looked like something out of a postcard.
The next stop was Palermo in Sicily. Here we discovered a unique mix of history and Mediterranean life. We visited the Church of St. George, the Church of St. Dominic, the famous Fountain of Shame and the end belonged to the impressive UNESCO-listed Cathedral of the Assumption. After that, everyone had the opportunity to lose themselves in the bustling rhythm of the Sicilian streets in their own way.
In Naples, we soaked up the true southern atmosphere - busy streets, the smell of pizza and the sound of scooters all around. Together we explored the New Castle, the San Carlo Theatre and the famous Piazza del Plebiscito. During individual free time, some visited the Egg Castle, others strolled through the Umberto Gallery or headed to the alley dedicated to the legendary Diego Maradona.
Our last stop was the charming town of Lucca. Upon arrival, we headed to the square with the church of San Michele in Foro and some of us climbed the Torre Guinigi tower with its unique roof garden and views of the entire town. Meanwhile, others enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere with a glass of aperol or a taste of authentic Italian gelato - the perfect end to the cruise.
Cruising with Riviera Tour was the perfect combination of discovery, relaxation and Mediterranean comfort. Each day had its own charm - whether we were strolling the bustling streets of Barcelona or enjoying the tranquility of the Italian towns.

On Tuesday, we returned from our pilgrimage to the Holy Gates of Rome, which we organized on the occasion of the Jubilee Year 2025. In cooperation with the parish of Lidečko, we went to the most important Christian pilgrimage sites in Italy, such as Loreto, Monte Sant'Angelo, Bari, Pompeii, the monastery of Montecassino and many others.
The program included daily Mass and the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation or to have a spiritual conversation. We spent several days in the town of San Giovanni Rotondo, where St. Padre Pio worked, where we were given space for personal silence and spiritual contemplation. At the end of the pilgrimage, we passed through the Holy Gates of Rome, opened by Pope Francis on the occasion of the Holy Year.
Many thanks for the realization of this trip belongs to P. Petr Martinek, who was our spiritual guide and also participated in the preparations of the whole pilgrimage.
We look forward to seeing you again sometime!
